Health minister meets those injured in Pauri bus mishap

Health minister Dhan Singh Rawat met the injured passengers of the Pauri- Delhchauri bus accident at the base hospital in Srinagar on Monday. The minister met every injured person to enquire about the treatment given to them. He sought information about the health of the injured passengers from the officers of the hospital administration. The minister directed the principal of the Srinagar government medical college and doctors of the hospital to ensure that there is no negligence in the treatment of the injured. He said that the State government is very sensitive towards the treatment of the injured. The minister also interacted with the relatives of the injured and assured them that best possible treatment will be given to the accident victims.

The passengers injured in the bus accident are being treated by the doctors in the emergency ward of the base hospital. On the orders of the health minister the principal of the government medical college Dr CMS Rawat, medical superintendent Dr Ajay Vikram Singh, department of orthopaedics head Dr Dayakrishna Tamta, Dr Laxman Singh of department of surgery and emergency in-charge Dr Mohit Saini and other doctors tended to the accident victims.

The medical superintendent Dr Ajay Vikram Singh said that 11 out of total 16 injured were admitted in the surgery department and out of them four patients were discharged. He said that treatment of seven patients is underway in the surgery department while three injured are being treated in the department of orthopaedics. He further informed that all the patients are being treated free of cost.
