In latest news from Doon, with the mercury continuing in the neighbourhood of 40 degree Celsius, the State health secretary R Rajesh Kumar issued a heat wave alert and also an advisory for the people, urging them to hydrate themselves at regular intervals.
He also issued directives to all the chief medical officers and other health officers to take all preparations to take on the heat wave-triggered diseases which are poised to hit the State, given previous years’ summer experiences.
