Light to moderate rain was reported in various parts of the State on Monday. The trend is likely to continue with the State meteorological centre issuing a yellow warning (Be Updated) regarding the possibility of heavy rain likely to occur at isolated places in Dehradun, Nainital and Bageshwar districts on Tuesday. Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning/intense to very intense spells of rain are likely to occur at isolated places in all districts of the State. Apart from this, light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur at many places in Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Pauri, Tehri, Dehradun, Champawat, Bageshwar, Pithoragarh and Nainital districts and at a few places in remaining districts of the State today.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness partly to generally cloudy sky. One or two spells of light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur, which may be intense/heavy in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 32 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
