In latest Uttarakhand news, the regional meteorological centre has forecast heavy rain accompanied by high wind speed in the mountainous districts of the State for the next four days. This aside, it has issued yellow alert for some parts of Udham Singh Nagar district, forecasting heavy rain. Also, as per the weather report, the plain areas may experience heavy downpour in isolated areas. Taking note of the rain alert, the district administrations of Udham Singh Nagar and Champawat ordered closure of all schools from class I to XII and anganwadi centres. Meanwhile, Badrinath and Kedarnath regions recorded the season’s first snowfall. The mercury keeps dipping in the mountainous as well as plain areas.
