Heavy rain warning issued for 5 districts today

Five districts of the State may experience heavy rainfall today. The State meteorological centre has issued a warning regarding the possibility of heavy rainfall at isolated places in Dehradun, Uttarkashi, Nainital, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts on Wednesday.

Apart from this, light to moderate rainfall/thunderstorms are likely to occur at most places with intense showers at isolated places in the districts of the State. The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to experience partly cloudy skies with one or two spells of light to moderate rainfall/thundershowers likely to occur. The spells of rain may be heavy in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 32 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Wednesday. Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Tuesday were 31.7 degrees Celsius and 24.8 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 34.1 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 21 degrees Celsius and 15.3 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 24 degrees Celsius and 19 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
