Heavy rain warning issued for five districts

Light to moderate rain was experienced in Dehradun and other parts of the State on Sunday though there were nor reports of heavy rain or resulting damage from it. The State meteorological centre has once again issued a yellow warning (Be Updated) regarding the possibility of heavy rainfall likely to occur at isolated places in Dehradun, Bageshwar,
Champawat, Nainital and Udham Singh Nagar districts on Monday. Thunderstorms accompanied with lightning/intense to very intense spells of rain are likely to occur at isolated
places in all districts of the State today. Apart from this, light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in Dehradun, Bageshwar, Champawat and Nainital districts and at many places in the remaining districts of the State.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a partly to generally cloudy sky. Few spells of light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur, of which one or two spells may be intense/heavy in some areas.
Meanwhile, light to moderate rain was reported in various parts of the State on Sunday with 16.5 millimetres in Dehradun, 12.5 millimetres each in Agastyamuni and Chaukhutiya.
