Heavy rain warning issued for four districts

The State meteorological centre has issued a yellow warning (Watch) regarding the possibility of heavy rain likely to occur at isolated places in Dehradun, Pauri, Champawat and Nainital districts on Friday. Further, thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and intense spells of rain are likely to occur at isolated places in the State’s districts.
Apart from this, light to moderate rain/thunderstorms are likely to occur at many places in Uttarkashi, Chamoli, Rudraprayag, Tehri, Dehradun, Pauri, Pithoragarh, Bageshwar, Almora, Champawat and Nainital districts and at a few places in Haridwar and Udham Singh Nagar districts.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to witness a partly to generally cloudy sky. Few spells of light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur, of which one or two spells may be intense/heavy in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 32 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various places on Thursday were 33.2 degrees Celsius and 23.8 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 35.4 degrees Celsius and 26.4 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 23.1 degrees Celsius and 16 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar ad 25.8 degrees Celsius and 19.1 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
