Heavy rain warning issued for four districts today

After a comparatively dry spell in various parts of the State, four districts are likely to experience heavy rainfall on Friday. The State meteorological centre has issued a warning (watch) regarding the possibility of heavy rainfall likely to occur at isolated places in Nainital, Champawat, Udham Singh Nagar and Dehradun districts on Friday. Further, thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and intense showers are likely to occur at isolated places in the mountains of the State today. Apart from this, light to moderate rainfall/thundershowers are likely to occur at most places in the districts of the State.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is likely to experience partly to generally cloudy skies. Light to moderate rain/thundershowers are likely to occur, which may be intense in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 32 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Thursday were 33.4 degrees Celsius and 25.2 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 35.8 degrees Celsius and 24.9 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 22.5 degrees Celsius and 15.3 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 24 degrees Celsius and 18.4 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
