Heavy rain warning issued for three districts today

Heavy rain is likely in parts of three districts today. The State meteorological centre has issued a warning regarding the possibility of heavy rainfall likely to occur at isolated places in Dehradun, Nainital and Bageshwar districts on Monday. Apart from this, light to moderate rainfall/thunderstorms are likely to occur at many places in the mountains and at a few places in the plains with intense showers likely at isolated places in the mountainous regions today. The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to experience partly to generally cloudy skies.Light to moderate rainfall with thundershowers is also likely to occur. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 34 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Sunday were 33.4 degrees Celsius and 23.2 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 34.8 degrees Celsius and 25.6 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 23.2 degrees Celsius and 15.3 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 25.4 degrees Celsius and 17.4 degrees Celsius in New Tehri. Dehradun received 7.1 millimetres rainfall while there was 24 millimetres rain in Vikasnagar and nine millimetres in Sahaspur on Sunday.
