Heavy rain warning issued for three districts today

Heavy rainfall is likely to occur in parts of three districts today. The State meteorological centre has issued a yellow warning regarding the possibility of heavy rainfall at isolated places in Bageshwar, Champawat and Udham Singh Nagar districts on Thursday. Apart from this, light to moderate rainfall/thunderstorms are likely to occur at most places with intense showers also possible at isolated places in the districts today.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to experience partly to generally cloudy skies today. Light to moderate rainfall / thundershowers are likely to occur, which may be intense in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 31 degrees Celsius and 24 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun on Thursday.
Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Wednesday were 31.4 degrees Celsius and 24.5 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 29.9 degrees Celsius and 25 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 18.2 degrees Celsius and 15 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 23.4 degrees Celsius and 18 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri. Further, there was 50.5 millimetres rainfall in Nainital on Wednesday, 40.5 millimetres in Berinag, 34.5 millimetres in Didihat, 30 millimetres in Sahastradhara and 25 millimetres in Tanakpur.
