Heavy to very heavy rainfall forecast in 10 districts today

The State meteorological centre has issued a warning regarding the possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall likely to occur at a few places with extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places in Pauri and Nainital districts on Saturday. Further, the meteorological centre has also issued an alert regarding the possibility of heavy to very heavy rainfall likely to occur at isolated places in Dehradun, Tehri, Haridwar, Udham Singh Nagar, Champawat, Almora, Bageshwar and Pithoragarh districts today. Apart from this, light to moderate rainfall/thunderstorms are likely to occur at most places in districts of Uttarakhand with intense showers at isolated places in the mountainous regions of the State today.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to experience partly to generally cloudy skies with one/two spells of light to moderate rainfall/thundershowers likely to occur which may be heavy in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 32 degrees Celsius and 26 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
Meanwhile, the maximum and minimum temperatures recorded at various places in the State on Friday were 33.5 degrees Celsius and 26.4 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 36.5 degrees Celsius and 27.9 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 24.3 degrees Celsius and 16 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 25.4 degrees Celsius and 19.8 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri. Further, Sahaspur received 36.5 millimetres of rain while there was 36.5 millimetres rainfall in Haldwani, 18.9 millimetres in Dehradun and 26 millimetres in Jageshwar.
