Heli service connecting Haldwani, Pithoragarh, Champawat & Munsiyari to kick-start on Feb 22

In latest news from Uttarakhand, after successful trial followed by the clearance from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), heli-service connecting Haldwani, Pithoragarh, Munsiyari and Champawat is all set to take off on February 22. Informing, the Haldwani sub-divisional magistrate Paritosh Verma said that with decks being cleared subsequent to the conduct of the trial run at the Gaulapar helipad on January 19, they were now fully ready to start off the long-awaited heli-service from February 22. He further said that after the conduct of the trial run, the DGCA had directed them to do certain things. “We have completed all things as directed,” he said. Speaking of the fares, he said that while the fliers up to Champawat would pay Rs 2,500 per person the fares for Pithoragarh are Rs 3000 and for Munsiyari Rs 3,500. He further said that the Centre would be subsidising the heli service fares.
