Help desk for 67000 Panchayat representatives of U’khand

Common Service Centres (CSC) to come up in 622 Nyay Panchayats of state.

Under the digital India campaign, the Uttarakhand government would set up a help desk for more than 67000 representatives of three tier Panchayati Raj system at Panchayati Raj directorate. Plan is also afoot to set up Common Service Centres (CSC) in 622 Nyay Panchayats. A presentation on the help desk and common service centres was given by the Panchayati Raj department to the chief minister Trivendra Singh Rawat on Monday. The CM said that the CSCs can provide a platform for providing a market for local produce under the ‘Vocal for Local’ programme. In the presentation the department officials claimed that under the ‘Help desk’ project a centrally monitored help and service system would be developed which would ensure help and service to the Panchayats. The Panchayat representatives can place their problems in the help desk. The desk would also provide them information about different schemes of government. In the help desk, the complaints regarding linear departments concerned with 29 subjects would be received. Speaking on the occasion, the CM said that the CSCs can play an important role in bringing the dream of vibrant rural growth centres into reality. The CSCs would be used to provide services under the ‘e- district project’. 

The Panchayati Raj Minister Arvind Pandey, Secretary Panchayati Raj Harichandra Semwal, director ITDA Amit Sinha and other officers were present on the occasion.
