The portals of Hemkund shrine in Chamoli district will be reopened for devotees on May 10. The Hemkund Sahib Management Trust vice chairman Narendrajit Singh Bindra said this while meeting chief minister Tirath Singh Rawat at the secretariat on Tuesday.
He said that as hoped by the CM, the trust had decided to reopen the Gurudwara on May 10 instead of June 1. The trust had taken this decision as the pilgrimage to Hemkund had been hampered due to the Covid-19 pandemic, he added.
