High diurnal temperature variation to continue in State

Diurnal variation in temperature of 18 degrees Celsius and above is likely to continue at a few places in the plains and valleys of the State during the next three to four days. According to the State meteorological centre, on Friday, there was a variation of 20.5 degrees Celsius and 17.6 degrees Celsius between the maximum and minimum temperatures in Pantnagar and Dehradun respectively. While dry weather is likely to prevail in the State on Saturday, Dehradun is forecast to experience mainly clear skies with the maximum and minimum temperatures likely to be about 29 degrees Celsius and 11 degrees Celsius respectively. On Friday, the maximum and minimum temperatures were 28.8 degrees Celsius and 11.2 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 27.4 degrees Celsius and 6.9 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 20 degrees Celsius and 5.8 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 21 degrees Celsius and 8.4 degrees Celsius in New Tehri.
