HNBGU & SRHU hold conclave on AI

The department of Zoology, Swami Ram Tirth campus of HNB Garhwal Central University, (Badshahi Thaul, Tehri) in collaboration with Swami Rama Himalayan University (Dehradun) hosted a one-day interactive conclave on ‘AI and Data Mining for Health & Himalayan Natural Resources’.

A number of scientists, academicians and researchers discussed the role of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Big Data and Machine Learning (ML) in healthcare, environmental conservation and biodiversity management. Among those who came from foreign countries were   Dong Ling Tong (UTAR Malaysia); Alan J Stewart (School of Medicine, St Andrews University, UK) and Dono Widiatmoko (University of Derby, UK).

A total of 162, including faculties and research scholars aside from PG and UG students, attended the event. The discussions opened new avenues for collaborative research, highlighting the need for an interdisciplinary approach in modern scientific studies, the organisers said.
