Hospitals should demand Oxygen 24 hrs in advance: Doon DM

In a measure which would streamline the supply of oxygen in the hospitals and help in preventing any loss of life due to the shortage of the gas, the district administration of Dehradun has asked the hospitals to raise their emergency demand 24 hours in advance.
In an order the District Magistrate (DM) of Dehradun Ashish Srivastava said that some hospitals are making emergency demands for oxygen only four to five hours before. He said that in such a situation the life of patients could get threatened. The DM said that the hospitals should make emergency demands of Oxygen 24 hours in advance with the nodal officer.
