The number of non Covid patients is increasing in different hospitals after substantial decline in the contagion of Covid-19 in Uttarakhand. In the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Rishikesh 1726 non Covid patients visited different OPDs of the hospital on Monday.
The hospital authorities claim that is the largest number of OPD patients reaching AIIMS- Rishikesh after the lockdown.
The Dean hospital Administration Dr U B Mishra said that numbers of Covid and Mucormycosis patients has been decreasing continuously for the last two weeks. He said that due to less number of Covid patients, more focus is being given on the treatment of patients with common disease. General patients are being seen in OPDs of most of the departments. He said that medical facilities would be further augmented soon as the situation improves further.
