In latest Uttarakhand news, with torrential rain and resultant landslides continuing to wreak havoc in Uttarakhand, a hotel comprising about 35 rooms in Rampur of Kedarghati region came crashing down due to fall of debris and boulders from the hills in the wake of heavy downpour. However, no casualty or injury was reported as those who were inside the hotel were evacuated in the nick of time before the disaster struck. Notably, this came close on the heels of the tragedy of a massive landslide hitting some shops in Gaurikund-the starting point of the Kedarnath trek- killing at least three persons with about 20 people still missing.
