HSST hosts national workshop on AI at SRHU

The Himalayan School of Science and Technology (HSST) hosted a one-day national workshop on ‘Exploring AI using IBM Watson’ at Swami Rama Himalayan University (SRHU) here on Wednesday. While addressing the workshop, the vice- chancellor, SRHU Rajendra Dobhal underscored the importance of continuous learning and exploration, especially in using technology to enhance the standard of community life.
The director general (academic development) at SRHU, Vijendra D Chauhan dwelt in detail on the profound impact of AI in the rapidly-evolving digital era and highlighted how students could contribute in areas such as developing AI-powered diagnostic tools, designing smart healthcare systems and leveraging data analytics to improve patient outcomes. He also urged the students to embrace a multidisciplinary approach to education and research, envisioning a future where technology serves as a force for good, advancing healthcare and creating a more equitable and sustainable world for all.
The principal of HSST, Pramod Kumar also spoke on the occasion and said that innovation is limited only by imagination. “By embracing new technologies, the students equip themselves with tools and a mindset to navigate the ever-evolving tomorrow,” he added.
