ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil and Water Conservation, Dehradun conducted a successful cleanliness drive and awareness walk at its campus on Thursday. The event was jointly organised by the scientists, technical officers and staff from the Research Prioritisation, Monitoring and Evaluation and Knowledge Unit, Hindi Section and Estate Section of the Institute. This initiative was part of the ongoing Swachhta Pakhwada which commenced on December 16 and will continue until December 31.
The head of the PME & KM Unit, M Muruganandam emphasised the critical role of cleanliness in fostering a greener and healthier environment. Highlighting the importance of maintaining cleanliness in the surrounding environment, the drive covered the institute’s office campus, residential areas, individual house premises and nearby religious and public spaces.
