To foster global awareness and nurture innovative thinking, the Indian Institute of Management Kashipur (IIM Kashipur) hosts a lecture series under the ‘G20 University Connect’ initiative. The organisers of the event said that it was centred on the theme ‘Engaging Young Minds’ in tune with the institute’s commitment to grooming the leaders of tomorrow. Ambassador and senior diplomat L Savithri delivered the special lecture at the event which, aside from dwelling on the significant role India has been playing in the G-20 community, lauded the IIM Kashipur’s recent achievement in securing the 19th rank in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF). She also appreciatively mentioned the institution’s rapid ascent in the educational landscape and the rich diversity it embodies, the organisers informed.
The event also featured lectures by Professor Kunal Ganguly who explored infrastructural investment and logistics optimisation and Professor Abhradeep Maiti who dissected international trade and economic activities. The lecture sessions were followed by a dynamic question-and-answer session during which students interacted directly with the Ambassador Savithri. The event ended with distribution of prizes.
