IIT Roorkee and CONCOR forge strategic partnership on logistics

In latest news from Uttarakhand, the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Roorkee and Container Corporation of India Ltd (CONCOR) formalised a strategic partnership through the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to advance research and development in logistics and supply chain management. The MoU was signed by the dean, Sponsored Research & Industrial Consultancy Prof Akshay Dvivedi on behalf of IIT Roorkee and thesenior general manager (MIS) Ritu Narangon behalf of CONCOR.
Lauding the development, the chairman and managing director of CONCOR,Sanjay Swarup said that they were looking forward to the impactful outcomes of the partnership which would not only benefit their operations but also contribute to the advancement of India’s logistics sector.
Speaking in the same vein on the collaboration, director of IIT Roorkee, Prof Kamal Kishore Pant said that this collaboration would enable them to apply their academic strengths to real-world challenges, further solidifying the institute’s role as a leader in innovation and research and contributing significantly to the Viksit Bharat 2047 vision.
