A socio-musical fest was organised at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) on Sunday evening. The event was organised to provide the final touches to the training of the gentlemen cadets (GCs) of the passing out contingent and showcased their social grace and etiquettes. The fest commenced with the rolling of the symbolic ‘IMA Ball’ by the commandant lieutenant general VK Mishra.
A communiqué from the IMA said, “As these young men gear up to enter the world as military leaders post completion of rigorous training at the academy, this evening stood testimony to their personality elegance and civility which has been carefully instilled in them over the past months. The occasion was characterised by the display of a sense of chivalry, courtesy, etiquette and gentlemanly conduct of the passing out course. These qualities which are imbibed and nurtured in the IMA, remain as an important part of their lives as officers on commissioning.’’
