Implement CM’s announcements on priority: CS to officers

The chief secretary SS Sandhu has directed the officers of the State administration that the announcements made by the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on occasion of one year of his government in office should be completed on priority. The CS chaired a meeting of the senior officers of the administration at the State secretariat on Tuesday. He told the officers that the announcements on which the work can start immediately should start without any delay. The CS said that on the declarations which need formulation of policy for implementation, the department concerned should prepare a draft of policy within the next ten days. On a terse note the CS directed that the time limit of all the declarations made by the CM should be set up so that they can be implemented within the set time.

Sandhu said that the department concerned should prepare a policy to ensure that the candidates appearing in the competitive examinations get 50 per cent relaxation in the bus fares as per the declaration of the CM. He also directed the departments to make mobile labs available to the district for implementing the lab on wheels scheme. The CS said that to ensure construction of children playing fields the master plans should have the plan for the children playing fields.  The CS suggested that deliberations should be held with the management of schools and colleges so that their grounds can be used as children playing fields. The State government would bear the cost of the maintenance of these fields, he added. The CS said that regular monitoring of the implementation process of the declarations made by the CM should be done so that they can be completed within the stipulated time.

The additional chief secretary Anand Bardhan, secretaries R Meenakshi Sundaram, Shailesh Bagauli, AS Hyanki, Sachin Kurve, BVRC Purushottam, Ravinath Raman, R Rajesh Kumar and Deependra Chaudhary were present in the meeting.
