In election mode, Cong starts preparing manifesto

After settlement of the issue of leadership the Uttarakhand Congress which has got a new look now has come into the election mode. The party has started the processing of preparing its manifesto for the upcoming elections. Congress wants to make the manifesto exhaustive and the one which fulfils the aspiration of everyone.
On Thursday the first meeting of the manifesto committee was organised on an online platform. Informing about the meeting the convenor of the committee Surya Kant Dhasmana said that the chairman of the committee Nav Prabhat asked all the members to include a maximum number of issues of public interest in the manifesto. He suggested that the committee should reach out to every section of the society and invite their suggestions for the manifesto. Dhasmana said that as part of the exercise to make the manifesto inclusive, in-charges in all 13 districts have been appointed.
He informed that Kedarnath MLA Manoj Rawat has been made in charge of Pauri, Laxmi Rana of Tehri, Matbar Singh Kandari of Rudraprayag, Nanak Chand of Chamoli, Sanjay Paliwal of Uttarkashi, Manoj Tiwari of Pithoragarh, Premanand Mahajan of Champawat, Madan Singh Bisht of Bageshwar, Satpal Brahmchari of Nainital and Almora and Mahendra Pal of Udham Singh Nagar district. He said that all the in-charges have been asked to convene a meeting in the district assigned to them and submit their report before August 31 so that the manifesto can be prepared and taken to the people well in time. The meeting was attended by members of the committee.
