Inclement weather likely to continue in parts of State today
Rain and snowfall forecast in many parts of the State

The rainy weather is likely to continue in the State despite the advent of summer. The State meteorological centre has issued a warning (alert) regarding the possibility of thunderstorms accompanied with lightning/hail and gusty wind (40-50 kmph) likely to occur at isolated places in the State today.The meteorological centre has further forecast that light to moderate rain/thunderstorms/snowfall are likely to occur at many places in districts of the State on Sunday. Snowfall is likely to occur at places situated at altitudes of 3,500 metres and above.
The provisional State capital Dehradun is likely to experience generally cloudy skies with one to two spells of light to moderate rain/ thunderstorm with gusty winds (40-50 kmph) likely to occur in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 28 degrees Celsius and 17 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
The maximum and minimum temperatures recorded in various parts of the State on Saturday were 31.1 degrees Celsius and 18.4 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 33.5 degrees Celsius and 17.4 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 19.8 degrees Celsius and 10.2 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 21.6 degrees Celsius and 10.8 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri. Light to moderate rain was also experienced in various parts of the State with 20 millimetres being recorded in Garud, 14.5 milimetres in Dangoli, 5.5 millimetres in Rudraprayag, seven millimetres in Pandukeshwar and nine millimetres in Jankichatti.
