In view of the arrival of the probable third wave of the Covid-19, the health minister Dhan Singh Rawat has directed the officers of the department to increase the testing for the disease. The minister took a review of the health department at his camp office on Thursday. In the meeting the minister said that MRI and CT scan machines would be installed in all government medical colleges of the state. In an important decision the minister said that 2600 vacant posts of nurses would be filled on the basis of year wise seniority. He said that the issues and problems of the contractual and outsource workers of the department would be solved soon.
The health secretary Dr Pankaj Pandey, director general (DG) of medical education C Ravi Shankar, health services DG Dr Tripti Bahuguna and others were present on the occasion.
