Surya Kumar Yadav (47 in 36 balls) helped India put a challenging score before England. The dup added 73 runs in their partnership. Significantly, the team made 53 runs in the last five overs.
The England team started well and the openers-Jos Butter and Phil Salt- made 26 runs in just three overs. Then Akshar Patel was unleashed and he took a number of quick wickets which seemed to have battered the Britishers’ morale. The score of 26/ 0 turned to 49/5 in nine overs. Harry Brook tried to stabilise but Kuldeep Yadav sent him to the pavilion. Brook made 25 runs in 19 games. Akshar and Kuldeep took three wickets each.
