After taking an abrupt break from his parliamentary election campaign in different parts of the country for reviewing the ongoing Char Dham Yatra, chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has resumed his campaign in support of BJP candidates. On Saturday, he took out a road show and addressed public meetings in New Delhi and Faridabad. In the New Delhi parliamentary constituency the BJP has fielded Bansuri Swaraj, the daughter of former Union minister Shushma Swaraj.
Addressing the public in the constituency, the CM said that India has progressed at a rapid pace under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He said that many historic decisions were taken under the leadership of the PM and resurgence of Sanatan culture is taking place everywhere. The Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) has been implemented in the country and Article 370 has been abrogated from Kashmir. The practice of triple Talaq has been banned and construction of a grand Ram temple was completed. Dhami said that India has become more powerful under PM Modi and Pakistan is meekly sitting in a corner. Launching an attack on the opposition leaders, the CM said that they praise Pakistan and demand evidence on the punitive action taken by the Indian Army on it.
The CM said that under the leadership of PM Modi new airports are being constructed, infrastructure is being developed, new IITs and IIMS are being opened. The PM has given a new direction to the country and under his leadership work on many schemes for welfare of the poor was started. Crores of poor have got homes from the PM Awas Yojana and poor are getting benefit from the Ayushman Yojana, Lakhpati Yojana, Kisan Samman Nidhi and Ujjwala scheme of the government.
Dhami said that Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has dashed the hopes of the people of Delhi and AAP has surpassed Congress in corruption. He said that the AAP government opened liquor shops around schools and now the entire government of Delhi is in jail in the liquor scam. He said that AAP talked about using the broom on corruption but it has used a broom on the income of the people.
Remembering late Sushma Swaraj, he appealed to people to vote for BJP candidate Bansuri Swaraj. He said that the vote to BJP will help in making Narendra Modi the PM of the country for the third consecutive term.
