In latest news from Dehradun, the Prime Minister Narendra Modi while addressing the two-day Global Investors Summit being held in FRI campus in Dehradun exuded confidence that India would emerge as the third largest economy in the world in his third term as the Prime Minister. He further said that political stability was an imperative for India becoming a developed State, He exhorted the industrialists to utilise this time in view of India being on the road to becoming the third major economic power of the world in a few years from now and also assured them that the Centre and the State government would never back down from the pledges they had made to them. He dwelt on a slew of developmental projects dished out by the Centre and the State government to accelerate the pace of development like Vibrant Village meant for the bordering villages of the State, under-construction Delhi-Dehradun Expressway and under-construction Rishikesh-Karnprayag rail connectivity. He also spoke of the House of Himalaya brand which he launched before inaugurating the summit that aims at promoting local products of the State nationally and internationally. He averred that this brand would prove instrumental for furthering vocal for local and local for global principals.
