India under Modi realizing concept of one earth, one family & one future: CM

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the country is realizing the concept of one earth, one family and one future on the global platforms with the spirit of Kutumbakam. He was addressing a programme organized on the occasion of 99th martyrdom day of Swami Shraddhanand at Old Gurukul Kangri in Haridwar on Monday. He said that the PM has taken Yoga and Ayurveda to the global level by connecting humanity with one thread.
The CM said that under the guidance of the PM the State government is working for the upliftment, preservation and promotion of Sanatan culture in the State. He said that work for the reconstruction of Kedarnath Dham is underway and the master plan of Badrinath Dham has been prepared. The State government has also undertaken the Manaskhand Mandir Mala Mission project.
Paying tributes to Swami Shraddhanand, the CM said that he had raised such a movement of freedom and Vedic education in India in the early 20th century which shook the foundation of the British. Influenced by the thoughts of Swami Shraddhanand thousands of people of other religions had re-embraced Sanatan Dharma, he said.
The CM said that Swami Shraddhanand had planted the seed of Gurukul in Haridwar in 1902 and it has today become a huge tree, imparting the light and education of Vedic education to the whole world.
He said that the State government has decided to start the Centre for Hindu Studies in Doon University.
Union minister CR Patil, Haridwar MP Trivendra Singh Rawat, Chancellor Satyapal Malik and others attended the programme.
