Indian diaspora in Canada interested in investing in U’khand

A delegation of the Indo-Canada Chamber of Commerce (ICCC) met chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. The chief minister discussed various issues with the delegation and asked the representatives of ICCC to also focus their efforts on the industry and tourism sectors.
The delegation headed by ICCC president Ripudaman Singh also included executive director Arvind Bhardwaj, Murari Lal Thapliyal, Govind Petwal and Mamta Rawat among others. The State’s defence manufacturing coordinator VS Rawat was also present in the meeting. The ICCC president informed the chief minister that in 45 years of its existence this was the first time that the ICCC team had set foot in Uttarakhand. He expressed hope that mission India 2022 by ICCC will bring in investments in the fields of industries, defence manufacturing and tourism in the state of Uttarakhand. He informed that the diaspora of India/Uttarakhand staying in Canada was upbeat about the future of Indian economy and keen to invest in various sectors in Uttarakhand. It was decided in the meeting that the ICCC and Uttarakhand government officials will work out the roadmap for future engagement for bringing investments and promotion of export from Uttarakhand to Canada.
