BCCI announced the Indian squad for the upcoming T-20 world cup to be held in Caribbean and the USA in June. The announcement came soon after the secretary Jay Shah and chief selector Ajit Agarkar met in Ahmedabad. India will play its maiden match against Ireland on June 5 in New York to be followed by the match between the arch rivals India and Pakistan on June 9. Notably, India won the first T-20 world cup played in South Africa in 2007 by beating Pakistan in the final. In 2014 T-20 world cup, India entered the final but was trounced by Sri Lanka.
The leg-spinner Yuzvendra Chahal and the hard-hitting batter Shivam Dube have made their entry into the Indian squad.
