Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the What India Thinks Today Summit, where he was welcomed by My Home Group chairman Rameshwar Rao. The event, hosted by TV9 Network, focused on India’s growth trajectory and the nation’s evolving global influence.
During the summit, My Home Group vice chairman Jupally Ramu Rao addressed the gathering, highlighting India’s significant economic progress under PM Modi’s leadership. Citing World Bank and IMF data, Rao pointed out that India is projected to remain the fastest-growing major economy over the next two financial years. He credited transformative initiatives such as PM Gati Shakti, Startup India, production-linked incentive (PLI) schemes, advancements in manufacturing, and the booming digital economy for the country’s remarkable growth.
Rao also lauded the Digital India initiative, emphasising that it has set a benchmark even for developed nations. He described India as a country on an upward trajectory, scripting a new chapter in development under PM Modi’s guidance and playing a crucial role in the global economy.
In his address, Prime Minister Modi acknowledged the world’s growing interest in India’s policies and progress. He reflected on national and international issues, emphasizing how India’s transformation is attracting global attention. Modi stated, “India’s efforts, innovations, and opinions are now receiving unprecedented global recognition.” He highlighted a shift in India’s foreign policy from maintaining equal distance to fostering equi-closeness with other nations, reflecting deeper international engagement.
The Prime Minister also pointed out India’s rapid economic rise, noting, “India has moved from being the 11th largest economy in the world to the fifth largest within just seven to eight years.” He credited this growth to the nation’s skilled youth and initiatives such as the Swachh Bharat Mission and Ayushman Bharat, which have significantly improved sanitation and healthcare.
Additionally, Rameshwara Rao’s contributions to India’s economic and social progress were highlighted at the summit. As Chairman of My Home Group, he has played a pivotal role in supporting infrastructural and industrial advancements in India. His commitment to fostering entrepreneurship, job creation, and economic self-reliance aligns with the government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat initiative. Modi praised Rao for his dedication to strengthening India’s corporate and business landscape and acknowledged his role in promoting initiatives that complement national development goals. The What India Thinks Today Summit served as a testament to leaders like Rao who are actively shaping India’s future through innovation and investment.
