In latest news from Uttarakhand, a few days after a daring robbery was committed at a jewellery shop in Haridwar, the senior superintendent of police (SSP) Pramendra Singh Dobhal transferred a few inspectors and sub-inspectors. Earlier, the inspector general Garhwal range Karan Singh Nagnyal had transferred a number of inspectors, sub-inspectors, head constables and constables to other districts. Top police brass said that the orders were meant to strengthen law-enforcing machinery.
