Insult of Sanatan Dharma resulted in Congress’ defeat in three states: Maharaj

The PWD, Tourism and Culture minister Satpal Maharaj has said that the insult of Sanatan Dharma resulted in defeat of Congress party in the States of Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and Chhattisgarh in the recent assembly elections. Maharaj who was the star campaigner of BJP in the recent assembly elections had camped in Chhattisgarh and Madhya Pradesh during the election campaign. He also campaigned in support of party candidates in Rajasthan.
Maharaj told The Pioneer that the anti Sanatan utterances of the Tamil Nadu sports minister Udhayanidhi Stalin were a deliberate attempt by the INDIA bloc to defame Hinduism. He claimed that this stance backfired in the States of Rajasthan, MP and Chhattisgarh. He added that infighting between senior leaders of the Congress party in these three States also resulted in the downfall of the Congress party. Maharaj said that while in Rajasthan chief minister Ashok Gehlot and Sachin Pilot remained in loggerheads during the elections the factions led by Kamal Nath and Digvijay Singh in MP worked against one another. He added that in Chhattisgarh the rivalry between CM Bhupesh Baghel and Deputy CM TS Singh Deo resulted in the downfall of the Congress party.
The senior minister said that the success of BJP in the assembly elections has also boosted the morale of the investors and it will be reflected in the upcoming Global Investors Summit -2023. Maharaj said that he accompanied chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in the roadshow held in Chennai in which the investors showed keen interests in the medical tourism and aromatic plants. He said that the State government is building infrastructure and creating new tourism spots. The minister said that the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in the investors summit will inspire the State government and the investors.
