Even as various parts of the State are receiving light to moderate rainfall for a few days now, the State meteorological centre has issued a warning regarding the possibility of thunderstorm accompanied with hail/lightning and intense shower at isolated places in the mountainous regions of the State on Tuesday. Further, light to moderate rainfall/thunderstorm are likely to occur at a few places in Garhwal region and at isolated places in the mountainous regions of Kumaon today. Apart from this, dry weather is likely to prevail over the plains of Kumaon region. The provisional State capital Dehradun is forecast to experience partly to generally cloudy skies with one or two spells of rain/thundershowers likely to occur in some areas. The maximum and minimum temperatures are likely to be about 33 degrees Celsius and 20 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun today.
The maximum and minimum temperature recorded in various parts of the State on Monday were 33.3 degrees Celsius and 20.4 degrees Celsius respectively in Dehradun, 33.3 degrees Celsius and 23 degrees Celsius in Pantnagar, 17.6 degrees Celsius and 11.5 degrees Celsius in Mukteshwar and 23 degrees Celsius and 13.2 degrees Celsius respectively in New Tehri.
