The NMDA would study & compile these reports and sent it to the State govt

All the scientific and technical institutes engaged in finding the cause of land subsidence in Joshimath city and suggesting the preventive measures to be adopted have submitted their preliminary reports to the National Disaster Management Authority (NMDA). The secretary, disaster management Ranjit Sinha informed on Wednesday that all eight institutes working in Joshimath have submitted their preliminary reports and NMDA after studying and compiling these reports would send a report to the Uttarakhand government. He said that the process of setting up the model prefabricated shelters on the land of the horticulture department in Joshimath would be completed soon. These structures are being constructed at Dhak village, Chamoli. On a positive note, Sinha said that the number of buildings having cracks has not increased on Wednesday. Till now cracks have been noticed in 863 buildings. He said that an amount of Rs 3.77 crore has been distributed to 307 affected families in Joshimath as an interim relief. Sinha added that the discharge of underground water in Jaypee colony was at 181 litre per minute (LPM) on Wednesday. This was at 540 LPM on January 6.
