Relatives of survivor allegedly slapped the accused in Emergency

In latest news from Uttarakhand, another incident of woman intern allegedly subjected to sexual harassment by an emergency medical officer (EMO) in a government hospital has come up. The incident happened in Haridwar district hospital. After the intern told her relations about the alleged harassment over phone, they rushed into emergency and in a fit of anger, slapped the EMO against whom the allegation was made. Later, the father of the survivor lodged a complaint against the accused at the nagar kotowali.
A senior officer of nagar kotowali said that the complainant had said that his daughter had been receiving training at the hospital since 2023 and the accused had tried to molest her after locking the door of the emergency.
On the basis of the complaint, police lodged a case against the accused under relevant sections of Indian Penal Code.
