International Mother Language Day celebrated at DAV College

The Hindi department at DAV PG College celebrated International Mother Language Day on Friday. The event was organised with support from Vishwarang, Bhopal. The Vishwarang International Poster was also launched on the occasion. Indrajit Singh, a scholar in the literary field, was the chief guest at the event. He has been tasked with bringing a new dimension to Indian culture through Vishwarang Bhopal in Uttarakhand.
The college officials said that according to Santosh Choubey, the founder of Vishwarang and vice chancellor of Tagore University in Bhopal, along with Jawahar Karnawat, the director of the Tagore International Hindi Centre, the International Hindi Olympiad will take place in 50 countries, including India, from September 14 to 30 this year. DAV PG College in Dehradun will serve as a centre for the competition.
A total of one crore in prizes will be awarded to students at the global level, with various literary competitions, including translation contests, designed to encourage participation. Considering this, a programme was organised in the boardroom on Friday.
