Dhami holds roadshow in New Delhi to promote Global Investors Summit 2023

 Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the investment is needed to develop infrastructure facilities and create employment opportunities in Uttarakhand and to meet this objective the State government has decided to hold Global Investors Summit-2023. The CM was addressing a road show organised in New Delhi on Wednesday to promote the summit proposed to be held in Dehradun in December. He said the manner in which investment proposals worth Rs 20,000 crore were received in the road shows held in London and Birmingham in Britain shows that the national and international entrepreneurs are keen to invest in Uttarakhand. He said that the success of the G-20 convention gave inspiration for holding Global investors summit-2023 which will be organised on the lines of the vibrant Gujarat conclave. 

He said that apart from being a world class tourism destination, Uttarakhand is a favoured destination for the food processing, auto component manufacturing, education and health sectors.

The CM told the members of the industry that improvement in the single window system has been done for fast approvals of licenses and the State has identified focus sectors for the summit. Dhami said that the State has also identified the land and infrastructure facilities to cater to the needs of these focus sectors. The CM said that a special land bank of more than six thousand acres has been created for the purpose.

 The state is also preparing investible project proposals in the focus sectors so that a ready reference is available for the entrepreneurs for the investment in the State. The CM said that in the last four months more than 27 policies have been formulated or revised to prepare investment friendly policies in the State which included tourism policy-2023, MSME policy 2023, start up policy-2023 and logistics policy-2023.

 The CM held interaction with large numbers of industrialists and keenly heard their suggestions.

 Secretary R Meenakshi Sundaram said that Uttarakhand is an economically capable state with perfect environment for investment.

Business deals of Rs 19,385 cr inked in road show

The Uttarakhand government inked Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) worth Rs 19,385 crores with different companies in the road show of chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami in New Delhi on Wednesday.
The government signed a MoU of Rs 15,000 crore with the JSW Neo Energy Limited on the sidelines of the  road show.  Under the MOU, two pumped storages of 1500 MW will be developed in Almora district.
The project will provide employment opportunities for  1000 people. The MoU was signed in presence of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. He said that the State government expects the company to cooperate in the field of pump storage plant, cement, sports training centre, drinking water, restoration and beautification of temples of Kumaon (Manaskhand mandir mala mission) in Uttarakhand.
MoUs with Dixon technologies, Radisson group, Oberoi group, TWI and BSS were also signed on the day.

The director general industry Rohit Meena presented a detailed presentation on the investment opportunities in the State. He said that the state is fast emerging as a safe destination for investment.

The chairman of CII Delhi Punit Kaura, vice president CII Uttarakhand Kaniska Jain and other industrialists were present on the occasion.

Secretaries Sachin Kurve, R Rajesh Kumar, Vinay Shankar Pandey and director general information Bansidhar Tiwari were present on the occasion.
