The teams conducted a thorough inspection of the crime scenes and analysed CCTV footage, which led to the identification of the suspects. The SSP said that the police received a tip-off on August 8 about the suspects returning to Dehradun, possibly to commit another crime. Acting on this information, the police launched a search operation and arrested four accused from the Jogiwala area. The arrested accused were identified as Mewalal Mohite (32), Sunil Mohite (32), Dev Singh Solanki (35) and Suresh alias Suraj Mahatva (19).
