At the camp, the students were given detailed information about legal rights, government schemes and free legal aid. Awareness sessions were also organised on contemporary topics like digital literacy, cyber security and financial literacy. Women, farmers and daily wage earners were particularly urged to become aware of their legal rights.
Besides, competitions on essay writing, poster making, painting and slogan writing were held on the topic of Right to Education (Article 21A). A street play was also presented. Apart from this, the students took out a literacy rally with posters and banners.
On this occasion, the District Legal Services Authority urged all schools to run a ‘One Child One Book’ campaign under which every child would donate a book to a needy student. Paralegal workers were also instructed to hold street plays on basic rights, education and justice in every village.
