The Leader of Opposition (LoP) in the State Assembly, Yashpal Arya has demanded that the government should set up a high level investigation under the supervision of the Supreme Court on the complaints of irregularities in the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). He said that the talented students who took part in NEET and other competitive examinations must get justice.
He said that incidents of paper leak, rigging and corruption have become an integral part of many examinations including NEET in the country and the Narendra Modi government is directly responsible for this.
He said that for candidates, participating in recruitment examinations work hard but their efforts get wasted when the examinations get stuck in the labyrinth of paper leaks. The paper leaks are affecting the future of the students, he added.
Arya said that the BJP has cheated the youth of the country. “First the NEET examination paper was leaked and now the students allege that there has been a scam in its results as well. Serious questions are being raised on six students of the same centre getting 720 out of 720 marks,’’ he said.
The LoP averred that it is very shocking that some students across the country have committed suicide after the annoucement of the results. He said that the government should take immediate measures to resolve the complaints of the students.
