Irregularities revealed during UTU VC’s exam inspection

The vice-chancellor of Veer Madho Singh Bhandari Uttarakhand Technical University, Prof Omkar Singh conducted on Thursday a surprise inspection of several institutions located in Roorkee during the second shift of the ongoing semester examinations. The institutions he visited included Roorkee Institute of Technology (RIT), Roorkee College of Engineering (RCE) and Phonics Group of Institutions. The flying team of the university was also present during the inspection. The VC’s office later informed that a number of
irregularities like non-availability of CCTV footage of the examinations conducted in Phonics Group of Institutions, attendance form tampering and absence of signatures of the room invigilators in verification forms had come to light following which the VC directed the university’s controller of examinations to immediately take all the records under its control.
