Income Tax officials from Delhi arrived at a prominent private university in the Bidhauli area on the outskirts of Dehradun city on Tuesday. On being contacted, the income tax department in Dehradun said that they were not directly involved in the activity and were not aware of the details of the case.
However, reliable sources here stated that the action could be considered to be one taken for verification. This correspondent attempted to contact an official of the university for its version but the official concerned did not respond.
