In latest news from Uttarakhand, the 12th Battalion Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Matli, Uttarkashi honoured the family of the martyr Anil Rana who had died in the line of duty in Arunachal Pradesh in 2018. Representatives of Commandant, 12th Battalion Sachin Kumar were present on the occasion.
Rana had been recruited as a constable in ITBP in March, 2009.
Posted with the 49th Battalion, when he was going to the Transport Camp at Likabali for duty, a heavy stone fell on the government vehicle he was driving. He later succumbed. Remembering his sacrifice, ITBP celebrated the birthday of his children at his residence and the jawans assured the family of all help.
