ITBP inspector from Doon dies near China border

ITBP Inspector Chandra Mohan Singh (55) who was a resident Durga Chowk, Jolly Grant, Dehradun died in the line of duty during a   patrolling in an area of ​​​​strategic importance along the Indo-China border.

ITBP sources said that while crossing the Kargyupa Nala ahead of the forward post in Lahaul and Spiti in Himachal Pradesh during short-range patrolling, Singh fell while he was setting up  a temporary bridge for his colleagues to cross the Nala and was swept away by the strong current.

Though he was rescued and sent to the nearest army hospital he died during treatment.
