The personnel of Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) have undertaken a cleanliness drive to maintain sanitation at Badrinath shrine and its nearby areas. The jawans started their drive by cleaning the garbage thrown by the pilgrims from the nearby mountains.
As part of the drive the ITBP personnel will maintain cleanliness around the shrine, nearby mountains and the water points. Praising the ITBP for undertaking the drive, the chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that this initiative will motivate the local people and the pilgrims visiting the shrine for maintaining cleanliness on the Yatra route. The State administration has also congratulated the jawans of ITBP for taking up cudgels for maintaining sanitation in the Badrinath shrine.
